Questions

About pricing

What counts as a message?

Each time Orrie writes an answer counts as one message. That includes one-tap actions like Improve writing, a question you type, and pressing Regenerate. Opening Orrie, browsing your history and copying answers don't count.

What happens when I run out?

Orrie tells you in the chat. You can switch to Luna if you still have Luna messages left, wait for your allowance to reset the next day, or add your own OpenAI key.

How much does using my own key cost?

You pay OpenAI at their API prices, and Orrie doesn't add anything on top. At September 2026 prices, a typical quick edit on Luna costs around a tenth of a US cent, so a thousand of them is roughly US$1. Terra and Sol cost more, and long pages or big images use more tokens.

Check OpenAI's pricing page for the latest numbers.

Is my API key safe?

Your key is saved in your browser's extension storage and is only ever sent to OpenAI. It never goes to Orrie's servers. You can remove it from Settings at any time.

Why is Orrie free?

Luna is fast and inexpensive to run, so a daily allowance costs very little. Plus will cover heavier use. Orrie will never show ads or sell your data to pay for the free plan.
